Part I: Furnished rooms or apartment.

1. University Square Apartment (last updated on 8/14/2007).   
Rental fee: $495 for single, $375 for double. Utilities are included. Lease is based on one person, can be one academic year or one year.

Distance from UNCG: on the east side of UNCG, across Greensboro College. About 10 min walking. Has shuttle service to school.
Comment: This is a tall building, looks like a hotel from outside. Each unit has only two beds and one private bath (kind like dorm). There is one community kitchen for the whole building. This place is almost like the on-campus dorm, except you are not required to buy meal plans. Only students of UNCG and Greensboro College can apply.

2. Individual rooms of apartments in houses for rent/ Wallace Associates.
These are rooms in houses, operated by Wallace Associates. There are about 10 bedrooms available. Rooms are all furnished, and prices vary depending on the size of the room. Some unit has 2 bedroom, sharing one bath, kitchen, living and dining. Some have 8 bedrooms, each has private bath room, but sharing living and kitchen. You can just rent one room. It is a good chance to meet American roommates.
Rent: One bedroom in 8 bedrooms unit: $325 include all utilities.
2-bedroom apartments: each room $295, only include water.
2-bedroom apartments: smaller one: $310, larger one (has a nice fireplace in the bedroom) $360 include water and heat, but no
electricity.
3-bedroom apartments: smaller one $280, another one $280, larger one
(on a separate floor from the other twos), $330. This apartment has one extra
small den. The landlord can turn that into bedroom too. Then all the other
rooms can reduce price further.

Comment: This is an apartment complex. Each unit has four-bedrooms, two baths, one kitchen, fully furnished, has washer/dryer in the unit. Lease is based on single-room. Availability may differ for females and males. Landlord may require a co-signer for the lease (someone who has a job that makes four times the rent) to be responsible for the rent.
